Badie Designs celebrates its 9th anniversary

Posted on July 16, 2021

Badie Designs is proud to be nine years old this year. Since its founding in 2012, the agency has branched out from graphic design work, broadening its reach to include website development and marketing services.

As CEO and Creative Director Taneka Badie-Geary explains: “Our mission is to deliver innovation, exceed expectations, and provide creative solutions. Our goal is to stay on the cutting edge of marketing and design practices by implementing new technology that will help our clients grow. And for the past nine years, we’ve done just that.” The agency has worked with a wide range of private companies, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations. Badie Designs is a minority-owned agency, the members of our 11-person team come from diverse backgrounds, and our office is located in a HUBZone that employs people in areas with limited opportunities. Our rebranding work with the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE)—as well as transportation companies CCT and STAR—represents how we can use our Web design and marketing skills to support organizations that promote diversity.

“It has been an amazing experience to work with successful companies like House of Cheatham, RICE, DeKalb County LSBE, and Georgia Power,” Badie-Geary says. “And we’re looking ahead.” The agency recently received its Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) certification from the respected Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. That certification represents a major accomplishment that allows Badie Designs to gain visibility, access a large support and mentorship network, and bid on corporate contracts. The agency also received its certification as a woman-owned small business during 2021.

Badie Designs has shown that it isn’t afraid of change—even change it can’t control. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the agency provided valuable advice and resources on how to work remotely and market virtually in a changing business landscape. And its efforts have paid off. Whereas many businesses disappeared because of the pandemic, Badie Designs has not only survived, but thrived.
